HFNJ is proud to support the work of the Newark Community Street Teams

HFNJ is proud to support the work of the Newark Community Street Teams (NCST) with victims of violent crimes and their families at University Hospital. This video focuses on framing the work of NCST as distinct from law enforcement however as an important component of public safety in the city.  The work; mentorship through casework, safe passage and high risk intervention in addition to our crime victims advocacy work, NCST provides a comprehensive resident-based strategy in partnership with Newark Police Department that supports the long term reduction of crime and violence in the community.
