HFNJ Welcomes Jeffrey Landau, Ross Z. Silver and Linda Sterling to Its Board

The Healthcare Foundation of New Jersey is pleased to announce that three accomplished professionals from the Greater MetroWest Jewish community will join its Board of Trustees, in July 2024.

Jeffrey Landau spent 36 years at BNY Mellon, from which he retired at Senior Executive Vice President and Member of the Executive Committee. His board experience includes service on the boards of HFNJ grantees Golda Och Academy and DOROT, a non-profit focusing on strengthening intergenerational ties and support for older adults. He received his BA from the University of Virginia and his MBA from Columbia University Business School.

 

Ross Z. Silver is a recently retired real estate partner at NYC based law firm Fried, Frank, Harris, Shriver & Jacobson LLP, which he joined in 1987. Ross has extensive experience in sales and acquisitions for single assets and portfolio transactions, financing, and leasing on behalf of landlords and tenants, joint ventures, property management and other matters relating to all types of properties, including office buildings, hotels, residential buildings and mixed-use properties. He currently sits on the board of trustees of The Valerie Fund and has previously served on the boards of other New Jersey not-for-profits. In addition, he has provided extensive pro bono legal advice to numerous charities including The Michael J. Fox Foundation and the Legal Aid Society of NYC. He received his BA and BS dual degrees from the University of Pennsylvania and his JD from NYU School of Law.

 

After retiring from a career in packaged goods and upscale marketing (HJ Heinz, Pepsi, Tiffany &Co., and Angel Records), Linda Sterling has devoted her time to nonprofit leadership and service, chairing the boards of DukeEngage, The Human Needs Food Pantry, and the Jewish Women’s Foundation of New Jersey. She has served on the boards of KIPP NJ, including tutoring math for 20 years, the Montclair Art Museum, the Montclair Golf Club, Montclair Kimberley Academy, Bloomfield College and Big Brothers/Big Sisters of Northern NJ. She currently serves on the boards of the Jewish Book Council, Duke University’s Trinity Board of Visitors, and the Pan-Mass Advisory board. She has participated for 25 years in the Pan Mass Challenge for the Dana Farber Cancer Institute, cycling 200 miles in 2 days across the state of Massachusetts to raise funds for cancer research. She graduated from Duke University, where she also received her MBA.
